Wendy Groce-Smith
Wendy Groce-Smith was born and raised in Louisville, Kentucky. She attended the University of Louisville where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. Ms. Groce-Smith then went on to also obtain her law degree from the University of Louisville in 2008.
Since 2010, Ms. Groce-Smith has focused her legal practice areas on bankruptcy and debtor’s rights. She has spent her career helping people recover from financial hardships. While with her previous employer, Ms. Groce-Smith was the contact attorney for over 1,200 active Chapter 13 bankruptcy clients as well as Chapter 7 bankruptcy clients. She regularly attended bankruptcy hearings in the Western District of Kentucky, the Eastern District of Kentucky, and the Southern District of Indiana.
In addition to her work as an attorney, Ms. Groce-Smith has been published in two compilations, entitled "The Encyclopedia of the Supreme Court" and "The Encyclopedia of the Supreme Court of the United States." Ms. Groce-Smith has volunteered for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for 10 years and is a lifelong member of St. Rita Catholic Church. Ms. Groce-Smith is married and has one son.
